Smokefoot Trade & Loan , Inc. was founded
in 1983 by Art Rauchfuss and Pete Nelson. Our goal was to provide a full service pawnshop to Morganton and
the surrounding areas. We have since grown and been voted "Morganton's Best Pawnshop" 6 times in the "People's
Choice Awards".
Not only
are we a pawnshop but we also offer a wide variety of services and products. We have a wide range of firearms, gold jewelry
and diamonds, electronics, tools and our specialty...recreational gold mining equipment.
We are the oldest Keene Engineering gold mining equipment dealer on the East coast.
Our inventory includes gold pans, sluice boxes, viles, sniffer bottles, books, magazines and gold dredges just to name
