Smokefoot Trade & Loan was founded over 35 years ago by Art Rauchfuss and Pete Nelson. We are located at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains in beautiful downtown Morganton, NC. Our goal is to provide a full service pawnshop to Morganton and the surrounding areas.
Not only have we accomplished that goal, we have since grown and have been voted Burke County's "Best of Burke" Pawnshop 16 times in a row.
Yes, we are a pawnshop but we are NOT your typical "pawnshop".
We offer a variety of services and products. We were also named "Best Gunshop" several years in a row. We stock a wide range of firearms, ammunition, targets, police supplies & Liberty gun safes.
